Explosion-proof Baghouse Dust Collector for Coal Mill Applications
The MDC/PDC series explosion-proof baghouse dust collectors are advanced dedusting systems originally developed by the Hefeicement Research and Design Institute, under the Ministry of Building Materials. These units are specially designed for coal grinding systems, integrating foreign design experience with the practical requirements of China’s industrial environments.
🌟 Key Features and Advantages
Explosion-proof structure: The system uses antistatic needle felt filter media and incorporates pressure relief devices for safe handling of flammable and explosive dust.
Two-stage dust removal: Combines inertia dust removal (pre-separation) and baghouse filtration to increase dust collection efficiency.
Pulse-jet cleaning: Ensures stable operation and high efficiency (≥99.8%) with low maintenance and long service life.
Customizable filter media: Filter materials can be selected based on temperature, dust characteristics, and application needs.
🏭 Application Scenarios
Coal mills
Raw material mills
Cement plants
Mining crushing systems
Material conveying and lifting
Dust-prone processing lines in power, metallurgy, and chemical industries
These collectors are suitable for negative pressure operations and have been successfully used in industrial-scale coal grinding dust collection systems.

💡 Working Principle
Dust-laden air enters the pre-collection chamber where large particles settle due to collision and inertia.
Finer dust continues into the filter chamber, where it is captured by the external surfaces of the filter bags.
Clean air passes through the bags, enters the clean gas chamber, and is discharged through the fan.
Pulse-jet cleaning system is activated once differential pressure exceeds the threshold, using compressed air to clean bags internally, shaking off dust into the hopper
